New Curriculum for Lighthouse Pregnancy Center Clients – Bright Course – Sara Wood, December 2019
In January 2020, Lighthouse will begin implementing a new education curriculum called Bright Course, in both English and Spanish. We have been offering healthy pregnancy and parenting education classes through a program called Earn While You Learn for the past 5 years. We realize this curriculum, while it has been successful, is becoming quickly outdated. Bright Course is an online subscription-based video-streaming service for providers who want to help their clients learn about topics such as prenatal care, parenting, relationships, life skills, and more, through their regularly updated video curriculum. This includes lessons on pregnancy, infancy, toddlers, parenting, life skills, hygiene, fatherhood courses, and more. We are so excited about being able to offer this exceptional educational tool to Gunnison County and the people of the valley. This program will help us better reach out to young families, singles parents, vulnerable young people, and pregnant women in our community, in order to help develop stronger healthier relationships, that include both parent and child.

What a year of blessings and growth it has been for us here at Lighthouse!!! In 2018 we had 67 client visits total. In 2019, we have seen over 160 client visits!!!

Lighthouse Pregnancy Center and Legacy Family Ministries is excited to announce that Molly Holsteen will be joining our team as the Client Services Director. We couldn’t be more excited to have her! See a note from Molly below.
“I am originally from Colorado Springs and have been living in Crested Butte for seven years now. I am wife to Andy and mom to Kate, Jackson and Hunter. My family has fallen in love with this valley and we enjoy hiking, paddle boarding and skiing in our free time. I am passionate about God and His Word and sharing the truth and freedom He offers. I have already enjoyed a few weeks in the office with Sara and our wonderful clients, and I look forward to meeting many of you in the near future!”
