Developing tomorrow’s leaders through faith-based educational opportunities and service

LEAD is a two-day-a-week drop-off program developed to come alongside and lighten the load of home educators while enhancing the educational opportunities, unique giftedness, and spiritual development of each and every child.

Currently, the program offers two classes: Non-readers and readers up to 5th grade.

Our two instructors have between them over 65 years of teaching experience, both in the public school classroom and as home educators. In addition to providing and arranging educationally enriching experiences and service projects, they tutor the students in math and language arts and provide a full science and history curriculum (with extra subject reading encouraged at home). They also are readily available to assist parents in curriculum decisions and provide encouragement as needed.

For maximum effectiveness, we keep our student/teacher ratio at 9:1. The program meets at Gunnison Church of Christ (across from Legion Park) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:45am to 3:15pm during the Gunnison public school calendar year.

LEAD is tuition-based; however we endeavor to keep tuition low to accommodate as many families in the valley as possible. Tuition for the 2020-2021 academic year is $2,000 per student. No sibling discounts are possible at this time.
